Aloeus Ox Beetle (Strategus aloeus)

Strategus aloeus occurs in the Americas, ranging from the southern United States to Brazil. Males of this large beetle (30-60 mm) have three large horns on the pronotum, whereas the females have none. The adults feed on flowers and fruit, and the larvae on roots.
